“Let the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my Redeemer” (Psalm 19:14).
“Strange sight, isn’t it, Honey?” she softly said to her husband. Meribeth and her husband Rafael were having a quiet dinner together at a local restaurant. Meribeth continued, “Try to be inconspicuous but just look around. No one is talking with each other. They are all on their smart phones. We are the only ones who are actually talking.” Rafael teased a little when he said, “Well, you are talking a little more than me, but honestly, dear, I love talking with you. There’s nothing wrong with phones; however, I am concerned about how we are using the words of our mouths less and less all the time.” As they continued their meal together, they thanked the Lord for His many blessings as they talked with each other.
For today: There’s nothing wrong with using devices as long as they aren’t consuming us. I want to master my time on my smart phone and use my words for His glory and the good of others around me. How about you?
