“Serve the Lord with gladness” (Psalm 100:2).
As believers, we have the privilege of serving the Lord as we interact with people. Life is hard here on earth and there are times that the messiness that comes with brokenness and sin can seem overwhelming. Recently I shared with a group of servants that even though we have served through some very difficult situations, always our service is to be done with gladness!
Yesterday I shared these three blessings with you.
Our focus is still on the Lord Jesus Christ as we learn of Him (Matthew 11:28-29).
Our praise is still being lifted to the Lord as we daily worship Him (Psalm 150:6).
Our trust is still in the Lord, and we acknowledge Him in all our ways (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Let me share several more with you today.
Our confidence is still resting in the fact that He is God indeed. “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth” (Psalm 46:10).
Our fruitfulness is still being grown by the Holy Spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23).
Oh, friends, if you know Christ, He wants to put gladness in your heart as you serve Him.
