“And we beseech you, brethren. To know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves” (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13).

We thought of this verse yesterday. Let’s come back to it once again. Focus with me on the phrase, “Esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake.” As a member of a church family, you get to see your pastor up close and personal in many ways. Hopefully he doesn’t use his wife and children as illustrations in his sermons. I pray that your pastor is living in such a way that it will be easy for you to “esteem them highly in love.” No pastor is perfect, but Godly pastors are honest, transparent, and good examples in spiritual growth. If you have such a pastor, you are very blessed. How are you going to let your pastor know of your appreciation?

For today: If you are grateful for your pastor and his family, let them know! You’ll be glad that you did and so will they.
