“Karen’s Notes!
Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”
Selected Notes
Volume 1 Number 22, “When You Speak to the Lord” September 5, 2018
Karen realized that there are many times that we simply need to be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10). There are other times that we need to talk with Him. How wonderful that He allows us to pray. He actually desires that we come to Him and talk with Him about everything.
Karen underlined the following verse in her Bible. “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Philippians 4:6). In her Bible study notes, Karen made a few, brief observations with which she frequently reminded herself. I am delighted to share from her handwritten notes.
Karen wrote: (1) Remember Who He is! “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM; and He said, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you” Exodus 3:14. He is the Self-existent One. (2) Remember what He can do. “”For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist” (Colossians 1:16-17). (3) Go back to the cross and remember what He has done for me.
Michael’s observation: When I with thanksgiving make my requests known unto the Lord, may I always remember Who He is, what He can do, and what He has done at the cross for me. Good advice. Her handwritten notes stir my own heart. I pray that her notes will bless your heart as well.
