“Karen’s Notes!
Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Selected Notes
Volume 1 Number 25 “Brief Sentences that Pack a Punch” September 26, 2018

We laughed a lot. We certainly did not have a perfect marriage, but rather than allowing the differences of our personalities to be an annoyance, we celebrated them and often laughed with each other about these matters. One of the things that always amused us was how many words I have and how few she had. She didn’t talk a lot. She wrote even fewer. But when she wrote something from her Bible study, I always knew that the Lord had spoken through His Word to her heart.

Today, rather than sharing a paragraph, let’s do something different. Here are several sentences that she wrote in her Bible study journal. I’ll share the sentence as well as the Scripture that apparently the Lord used to speak to her.

Karen wrote: Comfort. He never changes. He is always there! “Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17).

Karen wrote: We can depend on Him to keep His promises to us. Because of that, start each new day looking for the fulfillment of His promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17. “For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” It may be today.

Michael’s observation: I greatly miss that little lady of few words. The comfort of His promises and the assurance of His coming for us in the Rapture is a wonderful blessing. Are you looking for Him?
