Volume 2 Number 23 “I Need to Remember”
June 5th, 2019
Forgetfulness is certainly a trait that most of us have experienced. Karen deeply loved the Word of God from cover to cover. The Book of Philippians and the Revelation were her favorites. She also truly loved the Book of Deuteronomy with the writings of Moses to the second generation as he pleads with them not to forget the Lord and His ways. Let me share with you the text and then what Karen wrote about it.
“Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and let they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life” (Deuteronomy 4:9).
Karen wrote: I need to remember:
1. The grace of God (Deuteronomy 5:15). This has to do with my past.
2. The greatness of God (Deuteronomy 7:17,18). This has to do with my problems.
3. The guidance of God (Deuteronomy 8:2). This has to do with my path.
4. The glory of God (Deuteronomy 9:7,8). This has to do with my possibility.
Michael’s observation: These four things must never be forgotten in the life of the believer. Be on the alert today to be watching for and remembering God’s grace and His greatness. How thankful we must be for His guidance. We must ever seek His glory and not provoke Him. Thanks for stopping by Karen’s Notes today.
