“Karen’s Notes!

Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Selected Notes

Volume 2 Number 33 “Another Look at Familiar Proverbs 3:5-6!”

August 14th, 2019

Perhaps one of the most beloved Old Testament passages would be Proverbs 3:5-6. I’ll write it out in just a moment. Long before Karen’s cancer struck, she purposed in her heart that she wanted to walk with the Lord in such a way that He would be real to her. She wanted to be growing in her spiritual life and knowledge of Him. In one of her ladies’ retreats she wrote something that has really spoken to my heart. Thanks for letting me share.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Karen wrote: Invite God into my daily routine! According to Proverbs 3:5-6, I need to be aware of His presence in my life wherever I am and in whatever I am doing. To acknowledge Him is not just a nod of the head; but rather an intimate knowledge of God.”

Michael’s observation: I lived with this lady for forty-five years. She most certainly wasn’t perfect. However! I can tell you that in the good times of her life as well as the most terribly difficult, acknowledging the Lord was much more than a nod of her head. I want to be aware of His presence in my life in all the “wherevers” and “whatevers” today. How about you?
