“Karen’s Notes!

Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Selected Notes

Volume 2 Number 35 “So In Love With the Lord”

August 28th, 2019

I am so happy to share “Karen’s Notes” with you today. There is an interesting correlation between loving and trusting. The more you love someone, the easier it is to trust that person. Likewise, the more you trust that person, the easier it is to love. The same is true in our spiritual lives.  Let me share the verses of “Karen’s Notes” and then what she wrote.

“I will love Thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in Whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower” (Psalm 18:1-2). Did you notice the loving (18:1) and the trusting (18:2)?

Karen wrote: I will love Thee, Jehovah (18:1). This love is the intimate love from the innermost part of my life. He’s “my” rock, “my” fortress, “my” deliverer, “my” God, “my” strength, “my” buckler, the horn of “my” salvation, and “my” high tower. This is the One that I personally love. Not only do I love Him, I trust Him (18:2). This trusting leads to peace and a settled confidence (Isaiah 26:3).

Michael’s observation: After trusting Christ alone for salvation, the more you get to know our awesome God, the more you will love and trust Him. How big are your problems? Never as big as your God! I want to love Him more and trust Him more greatly. How about you?
