“Karen’s Notes!
Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Selected Notes
Volume 2 Number 41 “Great Opportunities as We Surrender!”
October 9th, 2019
Last week I shared with you a few of the notes that Karen shared in a ladies’ conference concerning the great privileges that come to the believer because of Christ. With those great privileges come great opportunities to serve and surrender. Let me share the verses again Karen used and then I will share what she wrote.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:1-2).

Karen wrote: We find joy in serving Jesus as we surrender to Him. Sometimes surrender comes after quite a struggle. Other times we may see immediate compliance depending on that person’s walk with the Lord.
Moses thought he was completely inadequate (Exodus 4:10-11).
Jeremiah was sure he was too young (Jeremiah 1:6-7).
Peter and Andrew complied immediately. The Bible uses the word “straightway” when describing how they left their nets (Mark 1:18).

Michael’s observation: The Lord greatly blesses and uses His children that are surrendered to Him and desiring to serve Him. He can do the impossible. Nothing is too hard for Him. Watch for the many opportunities that God has for you in the days ahead. There really is joy in serving Jesus.
