“Karen’s Notes!
Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”
Selected Notes
Volume 2 Number 48 “Thankful for Stillness and Assurance!”
November 27th, 2019
I have selected a tiny portion of a paragraph in the notes Karen prepared and taught in a ladies’ seminar. She was teaching on the subject of understanding the joy of being the Lord’s servant. She fully and firmly understood that every believer is the Lord’s servant. In this session, one of the verses that she brought into focus was Psalm 46:10.
Let me share this wonderful verse with you and then I will take you to the tiny portion of Karen’s Notes on this day before our national holiday of Thanksgiving. “Be still and know that I am God…”
Karen wrote: Be reflective on this verse. Remember Who He is. “I am God!” Think of what He told Moses. “I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you” (Exodus 3:14). Think of what He has done for you. Praise Him. It will help you to get the right perspective.
Michael’s observation: I realize that for us who love the Lord, thanksgiving is not just a once in a year event. I also know that many of you will gather around a table tomorrow with family and friends. You will celebrate the goodness of the Lord and give Him thanks. As you do this, really stop and think of Who He really is. “Be still and know that I am God!” From my family and me to you and yours, a Blessed Thanksgiving indeed.
