“Karen’s Notes!
Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Selected Notes
Volume 3 Number 50 “Concluding 2020 and Anticipating 2021”
December 30, 2020

What a year this has been for each of us. The effects of the COVID-19 virus have touched so many lives. Local churches and their pastors have been stretched as to how to minister to hurting people. Some pastors stood before a camera in an empty worship center and learned firsthand what it is like to speak in a television or radio studio! Some dear folks lost their jobs this year. Others experienced the death of their precious loved one. Yes, it has been quite a year.

In one of Karen’s Bible study journals she stopped at a very familiar Old Testament passage. Let me share the verses and then what she wrote to herself.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Karen wrote: “Invite God into my daily routine!

According to Proverbs 3:5-6, I need to be aware of His presence in my life wherever I am and in whatever I am doing.
To acknowledge Him is not just a nod of the head; but rather an intimate knowledge of God.”

Michael’s observation: In our couple’s prayer time, Karen often prayed that we together would grow not only in our knowledge of Him but also that we would be ever increasing in our awareness of His presence. I could not think of a better way to conclude 2020 and anticipate 2021 than having a desire to learn more about our awesome Savior and delight in being more aware of His presence in my life. How about you?
