“Karen’s Notes!
Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Selected Notes
Volume 4 Number 6 “I’m Not Sure She Really Liked Coffee!
But She Surely Loved the Lord!”
February 10th, 2021

Another Wednesday has arrived. It is my pleasure and privilege on these Wednesdays to share with you some of the things that Karen wrote in her journal. I get to see her handwriting as I hold her Bible and her Bible study notes. I can picture where in our home she would have been doing her Bible study, and it blesses my heart. When I was home from the traveling ministry weekend, I used to love to bring her a cup of coffee, give her a brief kiss and tease her that the way she liked her coffee made me pretty certain that she really didn’t like the taste of coffee! We’d laugh, and I’d get out of the living room so she could continue her Bible reading. Today I am going to share a couple really brief things she wrote as she was thinking about our awesome Lord.

Karen wrote: We probably will not understand why He allows some things to happen; but we must trust Him because of Who He is.

“For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him and for Him: and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist” (Colossians 1:16-17).

Michael’s observation: I love the sense of security that comes when, while we don’t understand why situations happen, we still can trust Him because of Who He is. Oh, by the way, she wrote one more little sentence in the journal for that day.

Karen wrote: Obedience to His Word – no ifs, ands, or buts!
