Volume 5 Number 15 “What a Transformation!

Several times Karen used Romans 12:1-2 in her ladies’ conferences. What most would never know is that often in our couple’s prayer time, Karen would pray the words of Scripture, and often Romans 12:1-2 would be part her prayerful words. I’ve discovered in one of her journals that she wrote a brief note about this. Let me share these verses, then her couple of sentences.

“I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Karen wrote: “Who we are and the way we act comes from within. It has to do with Romans 12:1-2 and the transformation that God wants to take place in our minds. A spiritual makeover from the inside out will affect our words and our actions.”

Michael’s observation: In her private ministry to the many, many children the Lord brought to us as well as her public ministry to ladies in many churches, there was nothing more thrilling to Karen than to see transformation from inside out that was taking place in her life as well as the lives of those around her. The Lord wants to work in our lives and change us!

As we celebrate Easter in a few days, think of what He accomplished on our behalf. What a privilege and joy to know Him, love Him and become transformed from the inside out.
