Volume 5 Number 42 “Attention Please! God has a Question for Us!”
October 19, 2022
I have no idea if this statement is true or not. I’ve never counted to see. However! Someone has stated that there are approximately 3,294 questions that are asked in the Bible. If you have a young child, it may feel like your youngster asks that many each day!
Seriously now, regardless of how many questions appear in the Scriptures, it is important for us to take God’s Word to heart. When God asks a question, it really makes me stop and think about it. Obviously, the Lord God already knows the answer to His question. His question is not for Himself. Rather, it is for us.
Karen lingered on a question the Lord poses. She wrote a little in a personal Bible study journal about it. I won’t share much of what she wrote, but this brief portion I know she wouldn’t mind me sharing. Here’s the verse with the question that caused her to write.
“To whom then will you liken Me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One” (Isaiah 41:25).
Think of the question. To whom could you possibly liken the Lord? The obvious answer is “No one!” She shared the following outline that’s great not only for ladies but for us men as well.
Karen wrote:
1. Think of Who God Is. “Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding” (Isaiah 40:28).
2. Think of What God Wants To Do. “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength” (Isaiah 40:29).
Michael’s Observation: Many who faithfully read Karen’s Notes have shared with me that they are going through very overwhelming times. Isn’t it wonderful, absolutely wonderful, to know that when we feel weak, He is absolutely strong! We can trust Him today.
