“Karen’s Notes!
Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Selected Notes
Volume 7 Number 47 “Living with a Hallelujah Gratitude”

It has been such a blessing not only to me but to many as I discovered these conference worksheet notes. I remembered her doing this conference many years ago. But to be honest, I forgot about it until I found her notes filed away in a place not with the rest of her very organized worksheets.

Her workshop was entitled “Peace in Troubled Times!” She encouraged the ladies to actively worship the Lord in the five ways prescribed in Psalm 105. She spoke about
1. Giving thanks (Psalm 105:1); and
2. Singing to the Lord (Psalm 105:2). Let’s continue to pick out just a tiny, tiny bit of her conference worksheet.

Karen wrote: 3. Glorify God! “Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!” (Psalm 105:3).

The Hebrew word for “glory” is halal (haw-LAL) which gives the idea of “to shine, to give great praise.” Think of this. Psalm 86:12-13 states, “I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore. For great is Your mercy toward me, and You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.” This is a great place to start.

We give praise to the Lord because of His character and reputation. Even though our circumstances change, God is always the same. We need to glorify Him.

Michael’s observation: There is much more that I could share with you today. However, suffice it to say that we will be greatly blessed when we actively, intentionally worship our great Lord. One of the aspects of worship is that we lift our praises to His great name. We have the privilege to live by His strength and grace in a precious Hallelujah! kind of way, giving God the glory.
