“Karen’s Notes!
Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Volume 7 Number 25 Post #321 “Oh How I Trust My Lord’s Help!” (Part 2)
June 19, 2024

Karen didn’t journal every day. However, she wrote many, many brief statements as she studied God’s Word for her own personal spiritual life. She wrote more detailed notes when she was invited to be the speaker at a ladies’ conference. Last week and today I am sharing the brief things she wrote as she read through Psalm 28 and lingered at 28:7. She was impressed, challenged and apparently blessed by the rich teaching of His people trusting in the Lord, His helping His people, and His people rejoicing and praising Him.

Let me share Psalm 28:7. Think about the richness and blessing of what King David shares with us.

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices and with my song will I praise Him.”

Let me share with you just a tiny, tiny portion of what Karen wrote that day in her journal.
Karen wrote: My heart trusted. I am helped. Yes, I see that God is my helper. This verse has the word trusted before the word helped. I must trust the Lord.

(Michael’s interruption: Last week I shared about trusting and the Lord’s helping as found in Proverbs 3:5-6 and Psalm 37:5. Let me share the additional two references Karen wrote out to herself concerning trusting and the Lord’s help.)

Back to Karen’s writing: God as my helper. I must trust Him.

Trust: Isaiah 26:3b, “He trusted in Thee”
Help: Isaiah 26:3a, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee”

Trust: Isaiah 26:4a, “Trust ye in the LORD for ever:”
Help: Isaiah 26:4b, “For in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength”

Here’s something I have noticed: Karen accepted speaking engagements exclusively for either children or ladies. The things that really spoke to her heart were the things that I discovered appearing in her conference notes from time to time. These were things with which she challenged herself. The exact same principles and blessings belong to not only ladies, but men as well.

I can honestly say that whatever your situation today, really folks, whatever your situation, as you TRUST the Lord, it will be amazing to see how He HELPS His people. How will this impact you today?
