“Karen’s Notes!

Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Volume 7 Number 28   Post #324 “Privileges She Always Embraced”

July 10th, 2024

One of several things about Karen that really caught my attention in high school was that she openly lived for Christ, and she possessed a joy that many around did not have. The more I got to know her, the more I discovered her desire to serve the Lord and know His will.

Many years later, Karen was speaking at a ladies’ event. She was speaking about the great privileges we possess as well as the great opportunities that the Lord gives to us. Today I want to share with you just three of the many wonderful privileges that the Lord gives to His children. Karen never got over the wonder and amazement of these privileges

Let me share some wonderful Scripture that Karen shared with the ladies.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:1-2).

Karen wrote in her conference notes: Do you take time to reflect upon the cost of your salvation and what it has given you? Not only have we been rescued from the eternal torments of hell; but we have the privilege of experiencing the following.

We have adoption and are joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:14-17).

We have assurance and know that Heaven is our Home (John 14:1-3).

We have access and can come to the Father through Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:18).

Here’s what I am thinking:  First, I hope that you will take a moment or two to look up these wonderful verses in your Scriptures. Second, think of how glorious these three privileges really are in the lives of His children. In her handwritten notes she reminded folks that there are many more privileges afforded the believer. These three really impacted her life. Thirdly, they really impact me, too. Think about these today, and they will be powerful in your life as well.
