“I have set the LORD always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved” (Psalm 16:8).
The large classroom of the Baptist Bible Institute was nearly full. The class was being taught by Dr. Kenward, and together with his students, they were studying the book of Psalms as part of the Old Testament requirement for their education. “Here is an example of a Messianic Psalm,” Dr. Kenward said. “Take a good look at this. David wrote this for sure, but class, this is one of the verses that only could be fulfilled perfectly and powerfully by the Lord Jesus. He always looked stedfastly toward doing the Father’s will. He never was moved. He always experienced the Father’s power at His right hand,” the prof continued. “I hope this will bless your life this week as you grow to love your Savior more and more,” Professor Kenward concluded. Just then the bell rang. As the classroom started closing their laptops and notebooks, Dr. Kenward said, “I will see you next Monday evening. If I were you, I would be very familiar with this verse before you return to class,” as he smiled at them.
For today: I am so glad that I belong to the perfect Savior Who understands how imperfect I am.
