Israel is very much in the news today. Sincerely I pray for the salvation of souls regardless of their ethnicity. Unashamedly in my writings you see my love for Israel and the longing I have for Jewish people.
“In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness” (Jeremiah 33:15-16).
My heart goes out to Israel. She has always been surrounded by enemies! She still lives in the midst of hostile neighbors. The terror attack upon her last fall is being fought out even as we read this post.
Though some very dark and difficult days are ahead for Israel, wonderful and glorious days are ahead as well. God is not finished with Israel. The major prophetic events ahead are the Rapture of the Church, the seven-year tribulation period, the second coming of Christ to this earth, and the establishment of His one-thousand-year reign. During the seven-year Tribulation period, Israel will experience her worst days. In the reign of Christ, Israel will experience her best days. Won’t it be wonderful to be with the Lord when Judah shall be saved and Jerusalem shall dwell safely?
More than mere words, I’m grateful for this assurance: I am grateful to belong to the One Who is sovereign and has a great plan for this world.
