“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine” (Isaiah 43:1).
Three different people were quoting this wonderful verse to three different people in three different situations. A kind-hearted pastor was reading this verse to Marietta just before he prayed with her before her surgery. A fire department chaplain was quoting this verse to a man who was being transported to the hospital after being involved in a car crash. The victim said to the chaplain, “I’m a believer. Quote me some Scripture, please.” Speaking above the siren in the back of the ambulance, the chaplain quoted our verse. At the very same time, a husband and wife relaxed on the park bench. “What verse did you memorize this week, Honey?” she asked him. Her husband put his arm around her and said, “Let me quote Isaiah 43:1 to you since you asked me so sweetly!” They laughed, and he quoted the beautiful promise of the Lord.
For today: How will this verse impact you today? Perhaps this is a verse that you need to be sharing with someone that you love and care about.
