“Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else” (Isaiah 45:22).
Charlotte, Marietta, and Lucinda were talking with each other as they ate their lunches. Lucinda had been praying for her two unsaved friends, and now it would seem that the Lord was bringing a great opportunity to her to explain the gospel to both at the same time. As the conversation continued, Charlotte said, “I don’t need a Savior. I’m a good person. If there’s a Heaven, I will make it in.” Marietta interrupted, “I don’t feel that way, Charlotte. Lucinda, you would have no way of knowing this, but last week I was so guilt-ridden about the way I’ve been living that I actually prayed and asked God to please send someone to me who would be able to explain how I could be forgiven and how I could know Him. I really do believe what you have been telling me about Him, Lucinda, and I want Him to be my Savior.” How about you, friend? Do you know Christ as your personal Savior?
For today: He is God. There is no one else. God said it. That settles it. Do you believe it?
