How powerful is the Word of God.
Think of it! God Himself has communicated to us!

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). “I have believed Thy Commandments” (Psalm 119:66).

People laugh at us because we believe the Bible is the inspired revelation of the eternal God. Let them laugh. As unpleasant as it is to be laughed at, understand that believers of every generation have been mocked, ridiculed, laughed at, and for many, much much worse things have happened.

I am told that Lord Kelvin, a highly respected British scientist, made a convincing and compelling declaration. He said, “Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible.” Eight years later Orville and Wilbur Wright took their home-built flying machine which, I might add, was much heavier than air, to Kitty Hawk. Friends, I am telling you that man can make his bold declarations that are not accurate. People can laugh at us for believing the Bible. Scoffers will continue. I just want to encourage you to trust God’s Word today. It cannot fail.

For today: People may laugh at those who trust the Bible. But someday they will know that God’s Word was true all along.
