It is no secret.
You would not have to be a subscriber to “Dr. Mike’s Daily Prescriptions” very long to see this.
Those who know me know it is very, very true.
Can you guess what I am meaning? I’ll make it simple for you. It is no secret that I love God’s Word and I love to share it with hundreds of people every single day. In my little corner of the great harvest field, I love to share God’s Word, and it is surprising where it goes and the results that it brings.
In addition to hearing from people that I have never met before, there are times that I still hear from folks that I met from twenty, thirty, and even forty years ago when I was their pastor. My heart is full as I see their names, and I can picture their faces as well as rehearse wonderful times of serving and sharing together. You’ve had this happen as well, haven’t you? It reminds me of what Paul told the Philippian believers.
“Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved” (Philippians 4:1).
It’s not my “stuff.” I can enjoy my things, but they are not what counts in life.
It’s not my wisdom. I can be thankful for education and things important enough to learn, but these are not what counts in life.
It is people to whom we can minister and encourage. We need to view people in the same that Paul viewed them!
