“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly…but his delight is in the law of the LORD” (Psalm 1:1-2).
We understand that this Psalm was written during the era of the Old Testament law. I am delighted to be living in the age of grace. I know that you are glad as well. However, we can take a lesson from this beautiful picture the Psalmist paints for us. There are only two ways to be living. The first is to walk in the way of deliberate, willful disobedience. The second is to delight in God’s Word and make it our standard of living. That’s what wise believers still understand, even in this age of grace.
For today: I will be asking the Lord to help me to delight in His Word today. How about you?
