“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Have you ever noticed how extremely personal these two verses are? This matter of trusting the Lord is with my own heart and not relying upon my own understanding. It requires me acknowledging Him in all my ways. Then He will direct my paths. Pastor Kenward concluded family worship by reminding his entire family that every day they would make the choice as to Who will be in charge of their lives. “Mom and I can’t make you choose to follow the Lord, but we can tell you this. You’ll be glad if you listen to Proverbs 3:5-6. You really will.”
For today: I need to pay attention to the Word of God. How powerful and practical it is. How will Proverbs 3:5-6 play out in your life today?
