“In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:2-3).
“My dad always looked so forward to our visits,” Rachel told the large group of people who were attending her father’s memorial service. “After Mom went Home to be with the Lord, he especially looked forward to being with his children and grandchildren. He always would conclude his conversation with his family by saying, ‘I’ll look forward to seeing you at the house!’ It seems appropriate to say that because my Dad knew Christ as His Savior, he is at the Father’s House. We today are looking forward to being at the Father’s House as well.” It was all that she could do to hold back the tears. They were tears of missing her dad already, but they were also tears of joy knowing WHERE he was, HOW he was, and WITH WHOM he was at that very moment.
For today: If you know Christ as your Savior, I’ll see you at the Father’s House someday soon!
