“The fool has said in his heart, there is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good” (Psalm 53:1).
“What an exciting time in which to be living! I know that this sounds like a strange thing to say, but it is true,” Paul said as he spoke loudly to his co-worker through his mask. “Listen, I am heartbroken for those who have lost loved ones around the world. But I want you to know that if I weren’t a Christian today, I’d fall on my knees and ask the Lord Jesus to be my Savior. Frankie, I am so concerned for you. Can’t you see how fragile life is? Within a few weeks everything in life around the world has been impacted. You need to know the Lord,” Paul said with compassion and conviction. The response from Frank indicated the condition of his heart. Frank replied, “I don’t believe in any God and don’t need any God. This coronavirus was just bad luck. I am going to make it on my own because there isn’t any God. Now Paul, what does your Bible say about that?” After a few seconds of silence, Paul asked, “Do you really want to know what the Bible says about you and your statement?” Without a second of hesitation, Frank folded his arms and said, “Tell me.” Gently Paul replied, “God says you are a fool, Frank. To ignore God and refuse Him is so very foolish.” As the men went to their separate cars, Paul prayed that the Lord would work in the heart and life of his friend Frankie.
For today: How about you? Do you know the Lord Jesus as your Savior?
