“The LORD is my strength and song” (Psalm 118:14).
This was the first time in her life that Maddie was called for jury duty. She was really nervous about finding her way around the large courthouse, and to be honest, she really did not want to be called. She, of course, was among the first group called upstairs to the courtroom.
“The LORD is my strength and song,” she reminded herself. “Maddie, this is more than just a saying. This is true. The LORD is indeed your strength, and He even is your song,” she rehearsed one more time. She was indeed seated on the jury, and while it would not have been her first choice, the LORD Himself strengthened her and caused her to rejoice in Him.
You might not be on jury duty, but in hundreds and hundreds of circumstances the readers of this Daily Prescription devotional will find yourselves today. How will He be your strength and song? Be watching.
Be watching today! These aren’t mere words. They are reality. He really is our strength and song. I want to live this out today. How about you?
