Monday Evening April 6th Update
Another Reminder That We Need Your Prayers
Yesterday was Karen’s favorite day out of the year. She always looks forward with great anticipation to Easter. There’s just nothing like being with family and remembering once again that our Savior not only died on the cross for our sin, He rose triumphantly. Because He lives, we too shall live.
Karen was able to attend our local church with me. The music was beautiful and the message was powerful. I am so glad that the Lord made it possible for her to be in church. Worshipping with the family of the Lord is so important to her. Easter dinner was great with our family bringing food. We certainly enjoyed our time together celebrating what the Lord Jesus did for us.
We surely do appreciate your prayers this evening. In the last several hours Karen has experienced some pain in her back and side. It seems to be better now. However I know she would appreciate your continued prayers. She is very tired tonight and just isn’t feeling real well. With her cancer and the treatment she is experiencing, fatigue is a very real side effect.
We are praying that she will stay healthy this week. Her next really big gun of chemo therapy is this Friday. From her lab work of several days ago, her blood count is pretty low. Her number should be around 4. Her number came back at 2.7. In all this we count it such a joy to know that we are not walking on this journey by ourselves. We are happy that so many of you dear friends check in almost daily on Karen’s progress. We are so blessed to have you joining us on the journey. Thank you so much for your prayers.
