“My Investment of the Dash”
Lately many folks are writing about the “dash” on the tombstones. You know what I mean, right? Below the person’s name is engraved the year of birth on the left and then to the right of that is the year of death. In between is the little dash. It is tiny in size comparison; however, it is huge when considering the fact that our entire life is found within that dash.
There’s much more to the simple dash,
That goes beyond the line.
It is the entire life God has given,
For none of it really is mine.
It really won’t matter the size of my house,
Nor even the amount of my cash.
But what will count for all eternity, my friend,
Is how I’ve invested my dash!
