Recently in Cleveland a huge tree toppled onto a house and car. Heavy rains had loosened the soil around the roots. It was no match for the high winds and over it went. It reminds me of the illustration the Lord Jesus used in His teaching. With great authority, the Lord Jesus taught that the only way to keep standing in the storms is to wisely build your life upon Himself (Matthew 7:24-29). Be deeply rooted in Him (Ephesians 3:17). This will keep you from being blown away with the winds of trials and troubles when they come (Matthew 7:24-27).
