“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, Who gives all things to enjoy” (1 Timothy 6:17).
Did you know on this date in 1935 the Parker Brothers Company introduced the game Monopoly? Perhaps you and your friends or family have played this rather lengthy game. I have enjoyed the friendly purchasing of properties, building houses or hotels, charging rent and gaining or losing wealth. In the game of Monopoly it doesn’t really matter who loses or wins. But in life, those who trust in their riches are foolishly trusting in something that does not bring lasting joy or security. Trusting in the living God is lasting and powerful.
For today: Manage well the funds that the Lord entrusts to you. But always trust Him fully.
