Have you noticed the reoccurring theme over the last few days? In case you missed it, I will mention it in my closing thought.
“Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks but also all the churches of the Gentiles” (Romans 16:3-4).
What a great testimony these two dear folks have in the record of Scriptures. They risked everything to help and assist the Apostle Paul. While we do not know the specifics of their care for the Apostle, we do know for sure that Paul was deeply grateful for them. He “gave thanks” for them as well as did the other believers. When folks think about us, will they “thank” the Lord? The answer to that question depends on how we live for Christ right now and how we treat others around us. I don’t always live in such a way as to evoke thanksgiving on the part of those around me. But I want to live in this way. Today is a great day for us to intentionally live so that others will be blessed and thankful.
For today: Thanksgiving. That’s the reoccurring theme of the last few days. Don’t you love it? Are you thankful for the blessings around you?
