Let’s take a look back at a Daily Prescription I shared five years ago with my friends.
“Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness” (Psalm 30:4).
Some time ago I stood before the class of men preparing for ministry at the Baptist Bible Institute of Cleveland, and I said to them, “This evening I am going to be teaching you about a subject that I am sure I know very little about, but I believe with all of my heart. Tonight we will talk about the holiness of our God.” I truly do believe in His holiness. The Hebrew word is qodesh which has to do with “apartness, His sacredness, the absolute hallowed condition of our great God.” While we may not fully understand it, we can give thanks to the Lord for His holiness. How great it is to belong to such an awesome God as this!
For today: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord our God. How will this impact you today?
