“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (1 Timothy 2:5-6).
“I resent your narrowmindedness,” the young college freshman said to Shaun. “This is 2018, and we are inclusive. How dare you imply that only you ‘born again’ Christians are going to Heaven? How dare you imply such a thing?” Candice said with a snarl in her voice. Shaun was gentle and polite. “Candice, I didn’t mean to imply anything,” he said with a note of sincerity. The arrogant college freshman thought he was backing down. Instead, Shaun continued, “No, Candice, I wasn’t implying this. I am insisting on it. There is only One Who can stand between you and the Father. It is His Son Jesus Christ the Lord. He alone is the way to Heaven!” With that Candice spewed some very unpleasant things and stomped away. Shaun silently said to the Lord, “So much for tolerance, Lord! They accuse me of being intolerant. What a mission field you have assigned to me! Please help me to rejoice in You and keep my testimony clean. Thank You for
being my only Mediator!
For today: Isn’t it great to belong to the Lord? Don’t you wish everyone did?
