“Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; that I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judea” (Romans 15:30-31a.).
Paul asked the believers to please pray for him that he would be delivered from the unsaved crowd who wanted to stop his ministry. He knew that if this wicked crowd couldn’t beat him up and actually kill him, they could do something even more insidious. They could hurl accusations that, while untrue, could derail his ministry. I am sounding the alarm, friends. Everywhere, we believers need to live spotlessly in this world. I do not mean that we live in a perfect way. We need to live carefully, cautiously, and Christ-like. Beyond that, we need to pray for one another that the Lord would protect us from false accusations that would ruin our testimony, ministry, and family life. This is a serious plea.
For today: Pray that the Lord would protect us from the false accusations of those who hate our Savior.
