“Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and you men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 41:14).
I have been reading through the book of Isaiah for my morning quiet time. Coming to Isaiah 41 this morning, I was reminded of Dr. Marmion L. Lowe, the beloved professor of Bible at then Practical Bible Training School in Johnson City, New York. Dr. Lowe often mentioned how the Book of Isaiah reminded him of the entire Bible. The first thirty-nine chapters profoundly demonstrate the need for redemption. Israel had sinned, and there was no hope to be found in human kings. Then starting at Isaiah 40, the final chapters demonstrate God’s provision of redemption through His Own beloved One. A precious promise is given to the reader in our verse for today. When we come to the right view of ourselves (a worm!), there is tremendous help from the LORD, our Redeemer, the Holy One. Whatever you are facing today, place your trust in the Holy One, the Redeemer. If you’re not sure what this means, please accept my invitation to go to my website, www.michaelpeck.org and click the EBook “Heaven.” What a blessing to know Him.
For today: When we are fearful, He is faithful. Trust Him.
