“For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father” (Ephesians 2:18).
Two men were having a discussion at work. Arnie was working on some community projects because his minister had told him that it might get him to Heaven someday. When Brett heard Arnie speak about it, he pleaded with him to please give him just fifteen minutes after work. Arnie agreed to it. In those fifteen minutes, Brett told him that he had no doubt that Arnie was sincere. “I am sure that you are interested in helping people, and I am absolutely sure that you want to know the Father! Let’s see what the Father says about coming to Him,” Brett enthusiastically said. He turned to Ephesians 2:18 and read it to Arnie. He then turned to John 14:6 and read, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” The only way to the Father is by trusting the Son of God for salvation. Through Him we have access!
For today: Aren’t you so glad that we belong to the Lord and have access to the Father through Him?
