“If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof” (Psalm 50:12).
We as a country will be voting soon for candidates who are extremely wealthy. I cannot begin to imagine the wealth of either the Republican or Democrat candidates’ millions or billions of dollars. They both are in an orbit very different from mine. I am not jealous of them. I am not a bit envious of them. Want to know why? The reason is that my Father is far more wealthy than either of these people. He powerfully declares, “The world is mine.” Our Father owns everything! Every beast of the forest, the cattle upon a thousand hills, the birds of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are all His (Psalm 50:10-12). People may boast of their empire and money, but we believers know that our Father really owns it all. How will this impact your life today?
For today: Everything belongs to Him. His grace that allows us to know Him and call Him our Father is amazing indeed.
