“Offer unto God thanksgiving” (Psalm 50:14).
At the end of the street lived several families with children. Side by side lived two families that were quite literally worlds apart in every way. Family A didn’t know the Lord. Their children were rude and unappreciative. They were seldom pleased and rarely said, “Thank you.” Family B did know the Lord. Their children were far from perfect. They were typical children in many ways; however, they were taught from an early age to say, “Thank you” and to appreciate the good things that were provided for them. It reminds me of a good life-long lesson for us all. How good are we in offering our thanksgiving unto the Lord? Have you ever had the goal of simply offering praise and thanksgiving to the Lord without asking Him for anything during a time of prayer? Offer unto God your thanksgiving. You’ll be glad that you did.
For today: We have lots for which to be thankful. Offer your thanksgiving unto the Lord today.
