“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable” (Psalm 145:3).
Kate and Lucas loved to take notes when they went to church. Throughout the next couple of days they would talk about what their pastor had talked them and what God’s Word had to say from the Sunday before. As they were getting ready for their prayer time together, both brought out their notebooks and were delighted to talk about the outline their pastor used from the day before. That previous Sunday Pastor Kenward had said, “Today we’re going to talk about the greatness of the Lord.” Kate and Lucas had a precious time looking up the verses and talking about the Lord. Pastor Kenward said, “Think about the following three things: 1. Think about His grace. ‘The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion’ (Psalm 145:8). 2. Think about His goodness. ‘The Lord is good to all: and His tender mercies are over all His work’ (Psalm 145:9). 3. Think about His glory (Psalm 145:11). ‘They shall speak of the glory of Thy kingdom, and talk of Thy power.’” What a great discussion they had about God’s grace, goodness, and glory. What wonderful things for us to think about today as well.
For today: I want to remember how great my LORD is and how greatly to be praised. How about you?
