“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy” (1 Peter 2:9-10).

“I was so afraid of death, facing God, and not knowing where I was going to spend eternity,” Trisha said. “I tried not to let on about my fears, but I got to the point that I just couldn’t stand it any longer. One of my coworkers, Sandy, lived so differently from everyone else in my department. Her life was a stark contrast to those who worked around me. One day I approached her and asked her about her life. She shared the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with me and told me about how He had changed her life. I knew that was just exactly what I needed in my life. I placed my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and although I was not part of His family before this, by trusting Christ I became part of His great big wonderful family!” Trisha said with a huge smile on her face. Others in Trisha’s department noticed the change in her life and wanted to know what had happened to her.  Do you know the Lord Jesus as your Savior? If so, you have a royal standing and a special privilege because you are part of His family.
