“I am Thy servant; give me understanding” (Psalm 119:125).
I have been noticing that in our area scam artists are abounding. A few nights ago on the news an elderly lady was interviewed after being scammed out of thousands of dollars to allegedly bail her grandchild out of jail. (I am not commenting here on the lifestyle of the grandchild that would tend to make grandma think this to be a legitimate phone call!) Another area Police Department warned senior citizens of scam artists wanting to paint their houses. These thieves would secure the down payment but would never show up for work. These are but a few of the dishonest, sinful, and shameful things happening all around us. You and I as believers need the Lord’s wisdom in very powerful ways. We need His understanding because we are His servants. We also need to live honestly and righteously in this present world. As the servants of the Lord, we need His help and direction daily.
For today: It is great being the Lord’s servant. We so much need His help, direction, and wisdom!
