Saturday Update May 16th, 2015
I am sitting here at my writing desk working on some upcoming Daily Prescriptions. Before me is the verse “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3). Certainly the Lord has blessed Karen and me in many, many ways. We truly want to give Him the thanks and glory for His many wonderful blessings.
It has been a few days since I posted an update. This is good news because Karen is steadily improving as she comes out of the chemotherapy effects for this round. So for the last few days there was no news with which to update you. It takes nearly a week for her to really get back on her feet after a treatment. Apart from tiring very easily, Karen really is feeling better and plans to be in church in the morning. She is looking forward to worshipping the Lord with the family of the Lord. Thank you so much for praying.
This morning when we woke up, we discovered that someone posted three signs in our lawn which stated We Love You! A beautiful poem and wonderful Scripture verses are written on each sign. We have a feeling we know who these dear folks are. However, they haven’t yet told us for sure. What an encouragement. In the mail came several very special cards today as well. Jeremy and Christina were married eighteen years ago today and this morning our son John graduated from the University of Maryland with a Master degree. We were able to watch his graduation with a live stream
Yesterday she had another chest ex-ray. On Monday she sees her surgeon to have the final stitch removed from her side. On Wednesday she sees our primary care physician and on Friday she had lab work. Bless her heart. For someone who seldom had to see a doctor, she surely is making up for it now. On the other hand we are thankful to live in an area with so many wonderful specialists.
