This gives us joy today: “That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:7).
Yesterday we thought of the prayer of the Lord Jesus in those agonizing moments in Gethsemane. Our Savior expressed His great desire for the day when His followers would behold His glory! Similarly, the Apostle Paul writes of our Lord’s exceeding riches of His grace. For those who place their trust in Christ, the Father demonstrates His kindness to us through His Son, our Savior. All of this kindness and the exploration of the riches of His grace will unfold in the ages to come. What does the ages to come mean? Quite literally, forever in eternity future we will be discovering more and more and more about our Lord and His stunning, breath-taking riches as He unfolds His gracious kindness to us!
That gives me joy today. I hope it will for you as well. Think of it! Forever discovering His gracious riches and kindness. That is what I call grace!
