“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” (Psalm 66:18).
Over thirty years ago I suddenly developed some chest pain. Because heart disease was rather common in our family, I agreed to go to the doctor. He ran a series of tests, and sure enough, I had three blockages. My arteries were 60, 60 and 40 percent blocked. The blood was not flowing properly, and for a time, I was rather unhealthy because of it. Likewise in our spiritual lives, unconfessed sin that is being entertained in our lives will always obstruct God’s blessing. Be careful today. Sin that obstructs the healthy flow of God’s blessings is far more dangerous than plaque that blocks the blood flow. Is there any unconfessed sin that needs to be dealt with in your life today?
For today: What a wonderful promise is found in 1 John 1:9. It is the sin remover that opens the artery of blessings.
