“And the watchman told saying…the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he drives furiously” (2 Kings 9:20).
I have just returned home from a couple of quick errands. While on that quick local drive I saw one of the most aggressive and furious drivers I have seen in a long time. His mad swerving, aggressive driving, rudeness behind the wheel and flat-out dangerous driving made me think of the report of an ancient driver named Jehu who drove furiously. We might smile at that description; but I am convicted that we believers are to glorify the Lord (1 Corinthians 10:31) and that includes the way we drive our motor vehicle today. Friends, drive safely. But equally as important, drive righteously.
For today: Let’s please the Lord in everything today.
