I hope you have been encouraged in these final days of September as we have considered God’s faithfulness. Today is Day Six, and may the Lord bless you indeed.

Day One: Faithfulness in Psalm 36:5. To the clouds!
Day Two: Faithfulness in Psalm 89:1. Make it known to the next generation!
Day Three: Faithfulness in Psalm 89:8. Indescribably amazing!
Day Four: Faithfulness in Psalm 92:1-2. Spot it at the end of your day if you’re not distracted.
Day Five: Faithfulness in Psalm 119:89-90. Look around and see the Lord’s object lessons.
Day Six: Faithfulness in Isaiah 25:1. Just as He planned and purposed!

“O LORD, Thou art my God; I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name; for Thou has done wonderful things; Thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.”

Sometimes our best laid plans just do not go as we hoped they would. Think of these plans that didn’t work out so well!

One person reports a steal of a price on a pair of jeans bought on eBay. They were actually stolen!
Or how about the dad who picked up the wedding card with what he thought was fancy writing for the bridal couple. It actually read “Merry Christmas” in Spanish.
Then there was the criminal who laid out his plans carefully to rob the bank. In the rush of the moment, he didn’t realize that he dropped his wallet at the scene of the crime.

None of these events went as planned. You could probably add more to the list. But all of God’s plans, all of them, every single plan, will happen as He planned long ago. Trust Him. Watch how He works. Do everything He instructs you to do in His Word so that you don’t miss His plan coming to pass.

For today: What an awesome God we serve!
