“Ye are not your own, For ye are bought with a price” (1 Corinthians 6:19, 20).
Paul was speaking from his heart to the church at Corinth. This was a church that was dear to him. But they were a challenge. There seems to have been an ongoing battle as to who was going to be in charge in their lives. Some of the folks seemingly had not settled that question. Paul lays it out by reminding them of the price that Christ paid. He gave His life for them. They came with a severe price tag of being hopelessly indebted to God. But Christ paid it in full for all. Therefore, as His redeemed people, we are not our own. We belong to the risen Lord and Savior.
For today: Your salvation was freely offered to you, but it certainly was not cheap in any measure! Have you worshipped at His feet yet today?
