The Top Five Things Every Mom Should Be Able To Say
Mother’s Day is a wonderful time to remember the great blessing that Godly mothers are to the Lord and to their families. Wise husbands and children not only appropriately express their appreciation on that special day, they also express it throughout the year! Think of it! How does your mother (or the wife of your children) know that she is loved and appreciated? The writer of Proverbs declared, “Her children arise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her” (Proverbs 32:28).
Here are the top five things every Godly mother should be able to say:
1. I believe that the Bible is God’s Word. I’m learning it, and I seek to obey its teachings.
2. I understand that my children are on loan to me from the Lord. I’m seeking to raise them for Him.
3. I thrill that the words of affirmation and appreciation from my husband and my children are not limited to just on Mother’s Day. I know that I’m loved and cherished. How special they make me feel!
4. I desire that my family grow in their love for the Lord Jesus and that their walk would be pleasing to Him. I have no greater joy than to see my children walking in the truth.
5. I know that life is short and situations can change quickly. I will therefore seek to live as one who is quick to forgive, careful with her words, and lavish with her expressions of love.
